FOI 0064 - Claims Managers Organisational Structure
Thank you for your email received on the 30th of June 2025, in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by the Infected Blood Compensation Authority.
The purpose of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Infected Blood Compensation Authority), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and we provide a response for your attention.
You asked the following:
Do you have "org charts" for IBCA. It would be helpful to know who the Claims Assessors report into and how many employees that overseeing Manager has under them. We do not need names for this job titles will suffice and numbers.
You further clarified your request on the 21st of July 2025 by asking the following:
We would like a flow / org chart that shows the hierarchy within the claims processing department (not sure of the IBCA "official" job title). So at the top would be e.g. senior manager, then under them manager and under that how many claims processors do they look after. It would also be helpful if you can state if these claims processors have regular meetings / updates with their line manager to discuss their workload.
Our response:
IBCAs Claims Managers report to Operational Leads. IBCA currently has 25 Operational Leads, who line manage a team of up to 10 Claims Managers.
Attached is the Organisation Chart for the Operations Directorate showing the hierarchy within the claims process.
Request outside the scope of the FOIA

Our Operations Leaders are allocated 30 minutes daily to discuss various matters with Claims Managers and these discussions are primarily conducted in person. The Operations Leaders have full discretion over how this time is utilised, depending on the topics at hand.
Additionally, Operations Leaders conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with all team members, including dedicated probation meetings for those undergoing their probationary period.
