Supporting information
There are a wide range of relevant symptoms and indicators that could suggest a person has or had cirrhosis or probable cirrhosis before they died. Their claim manager will try and collect supporting information on their behalf. That may include contacting a medical professional who has been responsible for the person's care.
Supporting information could include:
- fibroscan scores, including the IQR percentage
- blood test results
- MRI scans
- CT scans
- biopsy test results
- abdominal examinations and ultrasound scans
- APRI scores
- AST:ALT ratios
- ALT scores
- Child Pugh scores
- Metavir scores
- Ishak Fibrosis scores
- related symptoms, such as jaundice and portal hypertension
- treatment for related symptoms
