Published 15 January 2026
From: Infected Blood Compensation Authority
Today (15 January 2026) we have released our latest registration and compensation figures.
All the figures on this page are correct as of 13 January 2026.
Registration progress
IBCA opened the register your intent service on 9 October 2025.
Since then, we have received 15,805 registrations of intent to make a compensation claim with us.
This figure represents individual registrations, not unique people or claims. This is because some people may have registered more than once.
Of this number there have been:
- 977 registrations of intent from a living infected person, or their representative
- 12,368 registrations of intent from a living affected person, or their representative
- 308 registrations of intent relating to a living infected and affected person, or their representative
- 2,152 registrations of intent from people acting on behalf of a deceased infected person
