Community engagement

Hearing community views is essential to our work in delivering the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme. We have a range of ways in which we work with individuals, representative groups and charities, including:

  • joining sessions and events across the UK that are run by community groups and charities
  • running our own community sessions that are open to everyone
  • regular meetings with charities and groups, online and in person
  • visits to our office in Newcastle to see our work firsthand
  • hearing views from our Communications Advisory Panel
  • recruiting in autumn 2025 for a community panel to advise our Board

We have listed the community groups and charities that we engage with regularly for your information. We also engage with a range of independent campaigners.

If you think other groups should be added to our list, please let us know by emailing ibca.engagement@ibca.org.uk.
